Social Media Use Before Bed and Sleep Disturbance Among Young Adults in the United States.

This nationally representative study suggests that social media use in the last 30 minutes before bed is an independent risk factor for disturbed sleep among young adults. Suggestions for limiting social media use during this time, particularly to people with sleep concerns, may be a feasible and effective strategy that should be further studied in both prevention and intervention efforts.
