Effects of OSA on the thoracic aorta and the main pulmonary artery: assessment by CT

In conclusion our study found that CT90 may influence AA and MPA sizes in patients with OSA, while in the subgroup of patients without comorbidities, ODI and minimum SaO2 were moderately correlated with AA and DTA sizes. It emerged that patients without comorbidities and with ODI > 30 or mini-mum SaO2< 81 had greater AA and DTA sizes than patients with respectively ODI ≤30 or SaO2 ≥81, while age, sex, and BSA did not present significant differences in the two groups.
