Effect of CPAP treatment on ambulatory blood pressures in high-risk sleep apnea patients

CPAP therapy led to a modest improvement in blood pressure over 6 to 12 months, consistent with findings from prior trials of shorter duration. The greatest effect observed was on nocturnal blood pressure. The study contributes to the cumulative data suggesting long-term benefit of CPAP therapy on blood pressure in patients at high risk with sleep apnea.
